About

The Wetlands Environmental Taskforce (WET) Public Fund was established more than two decades ago with the primary aim of purchasing, restoring and maintaining Australia's remaining wetlands to ensure they are preserved for future generations to enjoy.

In 2002, Field and Game Australia members took a stand against the nation's rapidly degrading wetlands. They created the WET Trust – the Wetlands Environmental Taskforce (WET) Public Fund – with the primary aim being to purchase and restore Australia's remaining wetlands to ensure they are preserved for future generations.

The formation of WET recognised the desperate need to conserve and maintain Australia's remaining wetlands and the essential habitat that they provide for a wide variety of unique native flora and fauna. The WET is now an important vehicle for funding the acquisition, rehabilitation and maintenance of Australian wetlands.

The WET is a Federal Government approved Environmental Trust, and any donations made are fully tax deductable. You can donate here.

The registered office of WET is at Connewarre Wetland Centre, 605 Lake Rd, Connewarre, Victoria 3227. You can phone us on (03) 5799 0960, or drop in. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.
