Students Make Exciting Discoveries at Connewarre Wetlands

During recent Bug Blitz Trust activities, students uncovered a prowling spider and recorded threatened species like the Southern Pygmy Perch and Dwarf Galaxias. Hands-on learning like this not only inspires the next generation but also contributes valuable insights into the incredible biodiversity of our wetlands.

This week FGA/WET gathered with a group of environmentally-focused agencies and branches at three important wetland reserves—Gaynor, Wallenjoe, and Mansfield Swamp—to discuss opportunities for better management and protection of these vital ecosystems.
